Early Years (1915-1937)

Destiny is a benign entity. Nevertheless it retains its mystery. Most great personalities, who made humble beginnings, rose to unimaginable heights and the life of Babu Mool Chand Jain is a living testimony of this truth.

Born on 20th August 1915 to Lala Murari Lal Jain and Smt. Dhankaur, a middle class business family in a hamlet, Sikanderpur Majra, Gohana, in Rohtak (now Sonepat) Dist. Haryana, Babuji scaled many heights, extraordinary for an ordinary individual (ordinary just a pun).

Babuji topped in all the classes in District Rohtak right from the first to the F.A. Not only in academics, he proved his mettle in sports as well, by standing first in a 7-mile cross country race in the school.

He finally graduated from SD College Lahore (now in Pakistan). Maintaining his brilliant educational career, he again repeated the magic and won Jaishi Ram Gold Medal by standing first in the very first law exam. He passed the final law exam from the same university in 1937 and practiced law during 1937-41 at Rohtak. He played Volley Ball and Ping Pong (Table Tennis)
